Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for service updates or marketing purposes are:

    • We will collect information on PR professionals and journalists to alert them to a new service to enable them to work more productively and to ask for their feedback in the form of questionnaires. The benefit for the PR professional and Journalist is that that they will be able to hear about a very high quality service 100% tailored for them. The benefit for Data Mama is in collecting subscribers to this service for commercial gain. The impact on potential subscribers is small: a maximum of 3 emails over the course of 12 months to alert them to the service with a one click opt-out button on all email communications. Once they become subscribers, the data will be held with full consent of the subscriber as part of their subscription.

How long we keep information

Subscriber information will be kept for as long as the subscription is active. After this point, the data will be deleted within 3 months. Information gathered from questionnaires will be anonymised after 3 months. Data kept for marketing leads will be kept for as long as the contact fits the criteria for a "lead" unless the contact askes to be removed from the database.

Hubspot - This data processor does the following activities for us: They provide CRM software to manage subscriber and potential subscriber details. Typeform - this data processor stores questionnaire responses. 

Sharing information outside the UK

Where necessary, we may transfer personal information outside of the UK. When doing so, we comply with the UK GDPR, making sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
